In this episode, Debora Wondercheck’s Story of Hope Through the Arts, Debora shares her journey from volatility to harmony.

She is a dedicated corporate leader with a profound commitment to social justice and equality; she has over twenty years of experience in education program implementation and arts advocacy. In addition to serving as the founder and CEO of the Arts Learning Conservatory, she is also a professor of string pedagogy, a cellist, and an orchestral conductor.

At the young age of ten, Debora found herself with her cello on her back and her suitcase in her hand escaping from a volatile situation with her father.

Debora’s mother taught all seven of her children, Debora being the youngest, that God will provide a way, even when it seems there is no other option. Her mother’s strong faith, combined with her insightfulness and courage, allowed her to escape from a no longer healthy marriage and homelife.

How she landed at a school where she found her voice and instrumental people appeared to help her and her family. And how she has been paying it forward ever since.

She remains unwavering in her mission to provide culturally inclusive artistic training and education to children in over 50 schools and believes that by nurturing and empowering the next generation, we can contribute to the healing and advancement of marginalized communities.
